Come relax and let us share our wines and hospitality with you

UPDATED 3/19/20:  Open 3-6 daily for bottles of wine -sit out on our gorgeous grounds and enjoy a moment of peace in  a beautiful tranquil setting (plus inside tasting room subject to strict limits).  No tastings.  Also:  curbside take out, plus shipping and local personal delivery.

We offer a range of tasting options to tailor your wine tasting experience. Gather with some friends at the bar to try our current releases, sit out on the patio or around the fireplace with a glass or bottle, enjoy a flight of wines with seated table service or plan a full wine and food experience for a full group – the choice is yours.

Regular Wine Tastings

Regular wine tastings are always available at the tasting bar; no appointment necessary. Fee is $10 per person for individuals, couples and small ‘groups’ for tastings of six current / new release wines (plus a bonus pour). Our staff are all knowledgeable, friendly and happy to make your acquaintance and share our story and our wines with you.

Groupons and Free Tasting Coupons apply only to these Regular Tastings.

Seated Wine Flights

Seated wine flights with table service are now available on most days; no appointment necessary. Flights of 4 half glasses of either red or white are $24 and include current releases, premium wines and an otherwise sold-out older vintage wine from our Library. Gourmet platters of local cheese, charcuterie and homemade desserts are also available. This is a great choice for couples or friends who want to sit and relax, to celebrate a special event or to treat your out-of-town guests.

Group Tastings

Groups of nine or more are welcome by advance appointment only. We will devote a staff member to work exclusively with your group. We will have a full tasting of our wines and a walking tour of the vineyard, or winery (depending on the season).

Group tastings are $15/ person and include a DuCard logo wine glass to take home.

Food & Wine Experience Program

Our catered Food and Wine Experience Program is available for groups of 10 or more on an advance reservation basis. This is an intimate, full-service event held in the barrel room of our winery or on our private overlook deck (varies by season and weather) and includes small plates of gourmet foods created by our on-staff chef to complement the wines, and also features a sample of our latest vintage directly from the barrel. Program is subject to some seasonal limitations)

Tasting Room

We believe that wine tasting should be an enjoyable and memorable experience — in a great location. So we have designed our tasting room to maximize the views, with a cathedral ceiling window wall looking straight out to the mountains of Shenandoah National Park. Our expansive shaded patios and our new secluded deck overlook our mountain stream and vineyards.

Inside, we have a fireplace and comfy chairs for those cold or rainy days. Our beautiful flooring and bar are made from reclaimed local hardwoods, including nearly 100-year-old oak boards we “harvested” from barns on our property.
