Brush and Bottle – painting and wine class

Here’s great holiday gift idea: Enjoy a fun and special night of painting and great wine. In the comfort of your own home, award-winning artist and teacher Renee Balfour, owner of Possum’s Store in Criglersville, Virginia (just north of Charlottesville at the foot of Shenandoah National Park) will guide you through stroke-by-stroke in creating your own masterpiece, all while sipping a nice bottle of wine from nearby DuCard Vineyards.

Whether as a special gift, a cozy date night or an evening with friends or family, this will be a unique event that everyone will enjoy. This program will be held on Monday, January 18 at 6 PM Eastern time, via Zoom – making it a fun activity in the post-holiday winter period.

Our all-inclusive paint kits include everything you need (if you order as a couple you will get two kits so each of you can create your own masterpiece):

-Set of water-based oil paints

-Brushes

-Palette and palette knife

-Canvas

-Drop cloth

Plus, each order (single or couple) will include one bottle of DuCard’s fabulous 2017 Popham Run Red, a rich Bordeaux blend red wine named for the mountain stream that flows through the edge of the vineyard. Popham provides both an easy-drinking smoothness and great character.

Your canvas will be ready to begin with pre-painted base colors. All you need to do is add the additional layers, following Renee’s lead, giving your painting the detail and individual touch that will make it uniquely yours.

Your kit will arrive by UPS and we will send you the Zoom link for the live painting tutorial the day before the session. Please expect the program to last a little under two hours.
