Vertical Tasting
Saturday, January 13 2 PM: Popham Run Red Vertical Tasting. We'll be pouring vintages from our library - 2005 to present - tasting and talking about the effects of that season's weather, vineyard practices and winemaking techinques on the finished wine. This is a really fun event that we do only about once a year. Nibbles accompany the tasting and the small remaining stock of these wines will be available for sale. Limited seating, advance reservations required using this form. $49 per person (Wine Club member discount applies).

Music by the Fireside
Sunday, January 14 2-5 PM: Jessica Weaver & Silver Linings will be in the house. Blending a bit of both old and new country music, this Nashville recording artist will treat us to some down home country melodies. Check her out on FB: https://m.facebook.com/JessicaWeaverVa/ No cover.).

Monday, January 15 11-6 PM: It's a Holiday Monday, so stop by for some wine tasting and relaxation. Rumor is that some older, library vintages will be available that day.

Painting and Wine
Saturday, January 20 1-4 PM: Paint your own masterpiece, while sipping DuCard wine. Our friends at Wine & Design will lead this fun program and supply materials and expertise. Author, Author !!
Sunday, January 21 1 PM: Our friend and fun local author Tony Vanderwarker will be back to talk about writing, publishing, being mentored by John Grisham and the series of his fun and engaging recent novels, including his latest "I'm not from the South but I got down here as fast as I could." Filled with fabulous vignettes about life here in the Piedmont, Tony will also have autographed copies available (other books too). No charge, plus complimentary glass of wine to everyone who RSVPs in advance (email with name and how many in your party to marty@ducardvineyards.com).

Saturday, January 27 2-5 PM: Pat Anderson will be joining us. – an Oklahoma-born, Virginia-raised singer-songwriter (http://www.patandersonmusic.com). He’s a roots rocker with a strong affinity for Dylan, Springsteen, and Petty and possessed of the tough-minded country-rock sensibility of Todd Snider as well. Pat has spent a number of years honing his skills in Nashville, TN and we are thrilled to have him share his talents with us here at DuCard Vineyards. No cover.

Music by the Fireside
Saturday, February 3 2-5 PM: Classically trained Addison Liming joins us for an afternoon full of finger-pickin’ guitar work and melodies from a wide variety of genres and decades (https://addisonlimingmusic.com/home). Blended with some of her own music, she is guaranteed to please most any guest. Come out and enjoy the fire, a glass of wine, and this talented artist on a chilly day- it’ll be sure to warm the soul. Cheesemaking Class
Saturday, February 10 2 PM: Now here’s a fun Valentine’s activity! What goes better with wine than cheese? Hobby Hill Farm owner Sharon Munyak will teach us all how to make fresh Brie cheese from scratch (https://hobbyhillfarmfresh.com/blog/classes/)! This is a hands-on class so be sure to wear your ‘work clothes’ as you’ll be making your own cheese! Space is very limited so be sure to sign up here or call 540-923-4206. Class is $45/pp.

Valentine's Sunday Wine Brunch
Sunday, February 11 11:30 AM: Enjoy a lovely Valentine's Sunday Brunch catered by Chef Mark Gresge of l'etoile Catering of Charlottesville and featuring the beautiful harp music of Vicky Lee. The beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains serve as your scenic backdrop for this elegant date with your loved one. $59 per person, plus tax and service charge (Wine Club Members get 15% discount). Saturday, February 17 2-5 PM: Bring your date and come enjoy the entertaining music of Handsome Molly! St. Patrick's Weekend Party with music by Smokin' Trout
Saturday, March 17 1-5 PM: . Join us for a touch of the Irish with the lyrical Celtic rock and ballad/bluegrass music of Smokin’ Trout. We’ll also have some delicious Irish fare for sale provided by Mama’s Caboose, so come hungry and bring your Irish lad or lassie and dance a jig with us! No cover.

Easter Egg Hunt and More
Saturday, March 31 12-5 PM: . What would Easter be without an Easter Egg hunt? Or maybe a visit by the Easter Bunny? We’ll have that and more along with live music by the acoustic duo Haze & Dacey Haze & Dacey as they play a variety of folk, alt-country, roots-rock, country-blues, and a hint of jazz and swing (http://www.hazyshadeproductions.com/duo). You’ll be sure to find treats both inside and out, but just don’t get any egg on your face! Speaking of treats- we’ll have lots of goodies for sale to eat by Sweet Treats so save some room for that!
