We’re a relaxing getaway destination
Savor the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains as you sip DuCard wine and enjoy the pure, fresh mountain air in our tranquil country setting.
DuCard is the perfect location for a day trip, a relaxing afternoon as part of a weekend getaway, a celebratory stop after a Shenandoah hike, or for hosting a special event.

We offer two ways to enjoy our wines
When you visit DuCard Vineyards, you can try our wines in either of these ways:
Wine flights, consisting of four wines poured in tall Riedel crystal glassware, served seated at your table, whether in our tasting room, under our tented patio or out on our back lawn, and discussed by our friendly and knowledgeable staff. Red, white and mixed flights are available. This is an elevated tasting experience, perfect to get an ‘overview’ of our wines.
Wines by the bottle, with a rotating selection of up to a dozen current release and library wines available at any one time (our small batch, limited quantity wines can sell out within a few months). Perfect if you know what you’d like – or our friendly and experienced staff can help you choose.
Both of these options are available upon your arrival, whether you have an advance reservation (recommended, as seating is limited, especially on Saturdays) or you are coming on a “walk-up” basis,
DuCard can accommodate groups of 10 to about 20, using our normal advance reservation system, click here. Depending on the situation, wines may be available for sale by the bottle only but we will still have a knowledgeable DuCard staff member serve your group, answer questions and tell stories about DuCard and, depending on season and availability, lead a walking tour of the vineyard or winery. Contact Beth to make arrangements for groups larger than 20 .

We have great events every weekend
There is live music on the patio every Saturday 2 -5 PM with no cover charge, featuring various singer-songwriters from the area.
From April through October we also offer live music every Friday night 5 -8 PM and on the Second Saturday of each month 6-9 PM.
We also have a wide variety of special events throughout the year: Oyster Festivals, Chocolate & Wine Pairings, Wine Education & Exploration classes, Dog Days of Summer, July 4, Father’s Day, Earth Day and many more!
We are an authentic farm winery
DuCard Vineyard wines are handmade using traditional methods, in our on-site winery, from grapes grown by us at our three local Madison County vineyard sites. This level of Authenticity, which was the norm 10 to 20 years ago as the Virginia wine industry was just getting started, is less common now. But we consider it extremely important both for producing high quality wines that express a sense of ‘place’ or local terroir and also for providing customers with the memorable experience they are increasingly looking for in a country getaway wine tasting.
Our wines are available for tasting and sales exclusively at our tasting room. A limited selection of DuCard wines are available at a few local restaurants, by the glass or bottle at dinnertime, but we are not in any retail stores. Nationwide shipping is also available
