JANUARY

First Fridays - open late
Friday, January 4 6-9 PM: First Fridays. Potluck and music jam session. Bring a dish to share and your instrument if you play.

Vertical Tasting
Sunday, January 13 2 PM: Cabernet Franc Vertical Tasting. We'll be pouring vintages from our library - 2009 to present - tasting and talking about the effects of that season's weather, vineyard practices and winemaking techinques on the finished wine. This is a really fun event that we do only about once a year. Nibbles accompany the tasting and the small remaining stock of these wines will be available for sale. Limited seating, advance reservations required using this form. $49 per person (Wine Club member discount applies).

Monday, January 21 11-6 PM: It's a Holiday Monday, so stop by for some wine tasting and relaxation. Rumor is that some older, library vintages will be available that day.

FEBRUARY

Music on the Patio - by the Fire
Saturday, February 2 2-5 PM: Tara Mills joins us for great bluegrass, folk and americana. She's a regular and we love her vibe.

Valentine's Sunday Wine Brunch
Sunday, February 10 11:30 AM: Enjoy a lovely Valentine's Sunday Wine Brunch catered by Chef Mark Gresge of l'etoile Catering of Charlottesville and featuring the beautiful harp music of Vicky Lee. The Blue Ridge Mountains serve as your scenic backdrop for this elegant date with your loved one. $69 per person, plus tax and service charge (Wine Club Members get 15% discount). Sunday, February 24 1 PM: SOLD OUT - see below for added session on May 5. We are delighted to have geologist Dr. Robert Finley here to educate us on the billion year old mountain out our backyard. No charge but limited seating, so advance registration requested - to marty@ducardvineyards.com - with a free glass of wine for doing so.

Sunday, March 24 11 AM: Now here's a fun activity ! What goes better with wine than cheese? Hobby Hill Farm owner Sharon Munyak will teach us all how to make fresh cream cheese from scratch. This is a hands-on class so be sure to wear your work clothes. Space is limited so to sign up click here

Easter Egg Hunt and More
Saturday, April 20 12-5 PM: The E. Bunny himself will be at DuCard, and we'll have a big egg hunt too (1 PM sharp). We'll have live music by 2 Wishes also (2-5). This is always a popular family event so please join us. No cover.

Spring Oyster Festival with music by Beleza Brasil
Saturday, April 27 12 - 5 PM: Oh yeah ! Oyster Fest is back. Nomini Bay Oyster Ranch will be providing the freshest and most delicious oysters from the Northern Neck: raw, steamed grilled (and with toppings too). We'll also have fresh grilled crab cakes - absolutely best ever, no filling. Throw in some funkalicious samba soul by Beleza Brasil and great mountain and vineyard views, and you have a day made in heaven. Admission (and take home wine glass) is $10 in advance and $15 at the door (food and wine not included. For reservations click here

Music on the Patio with The Weedeaters
Saturday, May 4 2-5 PM: These guys will knock your socks off with down-home folk and progressive bluegrass. They've won various fiddler conventions and bluegrass festivals and we're delighted that they will be joining us for the afternoon. No cover.

Second Saturday Concert Series - A Scuffletown Saturday Night
Saturday, May 11 6-9 PM: We kickoff this year's 2nd Saturday evening series with our good friends Scuffletown in the house with their fun and energizing mix of Americana and original music on guitar, bass, harmonica and accordian (!). Come for an afternoon relax and stay for the concert ! No cover.

Mothers Day Sunday Wine Brunch at DuCard
Sunday, May 12 11:30 AM: Enjoy a pampered and relaxing four-course Sunday Wne Brunch catering by Kitchen Caering and featuring the lovely harp music of Vicky Lee.
